Ucabet Sportsbook

UCABet is a popular option amongst many hardcore NFL and NBA fans mainly due to the high betting limits. They do however miss action due to their narrow offerings. With a bit of focus on ironing out the few creases in their operation these guys could be a great betting option.
If you bet on NFL, NBA, MLB and Hockey you are going to be fine, but lines on other sports such as Boxing, Golf, MMA/UFC, NASCAR, Tennis and Soccer seem to be very shallow which is a negative for a diverse gambler like me!

UcaBet Review

When it comes to the world of Latin American sportsbooks, you have almost a three tier system of operators. At the very bottom you have the scum bag rip off sites. This is the biggest area, as most of the sites that come out of this region are garbage.

Next, you have have the category of very good sites that have a few issues that keep it from reaching the echelon of being the best.

At the very top you have the elite operators. These guys have been around for years on end and offer a tight operation with great banking, service, and betting lines.

After researching Costa Rican sportsbook UcaBet we can definitely tell you which category UcaBet falls into. Which category? Read on to find out.

Clean, Colorful, and Outdated

In contrast to the dark themes that so many sportsbooks are adopting nowadays, UcaBet tackles things with a bright white, red, and grey theme that definitely pulls you in.

We ended up registering for an account in just under two minutes, and had deposited our funds into our account immediately after. We ended up getting our bonus applied after talking to a customer service rep, which really isn’t a big sweat considering there are a lot of bonuses out there.

In terms of betting lines, we were pretty disappointed by what we saw. The sports being offered for action on UcaBet include: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Golf, Boxing, MMA, Tennis, NASCAR, and Soccer.

The selection of sports is pretty good, but not as expansive as we have seen on other sites like BetOnline or BetDSI. This small issue is made larger when you see the lack of action out there. We found lines for NFL games that don’t start until September, but we failed to see active lines for Golf, which is currently in season.

Adding to the somewhat curious line issues is the fact that the main sports betting page is headlined by ice hockey, which hasn’t been in season for a couple of weeks as of this writing. For a betting firm that is supposed to be up on its game, oversights like this indicate that the staff isn’t looking into the details of the site, which makes us leery of the operation as a whole.

Players looking for a distraction will be happy to know that UcaBet offers a fully fledged casino, complete with video slots, table games, keno, and video poker. The software is honestly a little dated, but certainly not the worst that we have seen online.

If you are going to be playing on this side of the UcaBet fence, we recommend that you check out the wonderful live dealer casino. Offering blackjack, roulette, and baccarat with a real remote dealer is a lot of fun, and in many ways is the most polished product on the site.

Bonuses That Make You Go, Hmm…

Faring much better than the actual sports betting operation, with deposit bonuses for the sportsbook getting an 80% boost, the casino getting 10%, and new member referrals netting a 25% bonus.

Additional bonuses such as selected sporting events will also generate sweepstakes in which players can win large balances. One such promotion is for the NBA Finals, during which time and bettors who wagered on the Heat or Spurs would be entered to win $1,500.

As with the sportsbetting page, we did find that the bonus and promotion page was a bit outdated, as the NBA Finals were still being promoted in mid-July.

Mobile That Won’t Knock Your Socks Off

Like so many other sportsbooks out there, UcaBet’s mobile offering is a bit of an afterthought. The site is basic in its layout, and we are missing out on so many other cool features that great sportsbetting sites such as Bovada offer.

We would be very happy to see UcaBet improve this feature in the future as mobile sportsbetting continues to grow.

Bountiful Banking Options/ Customer Service

When it comes to servicing punters throughout the world, American friendly sportsbetting sites are often restricted in the ways that they can accept deposits and withdrawals. Being such an establishment, we were very surprised to see that UcaBet offers as many options as it does. These payment options are among the best we have seen from Latin American books, and we were happy with our transaction speeds.

For those not in the know, UcaBet accepts deposits in the form of Person to Person Transfers, Credit Cards, Bank Wire, Cashier Checks, Neteller, Moneybookers, Click2Pay, Ukash, and EcoCard for non-Americans.

Needless to say, this is a very substantial offering, and we loved having so many routes available to move money in and out.

Customer Service is just as good at UcaBet, as we were able to pull up help from instant messaging and telephone. As we always prefer to have instant messaging, we struck up that method and found our help to be friendly and able to get our issue solved quickly.

On the back end of things, we can tout UcaBet’s strength in this area. Sportsbetting may be the site’s weakness, but the site’s strength is its banking and customer service.

When it comes to that pyramid of Latin American sportsbook sites, we find that UcaBet definitely is not in the garbage category, but has enough flaws that it cannot yet be considered to be among the best sites. That puts UcaBet in a position where it is average, with the ability to become much better if it fixes the flaws that we found within.

In the meantime, you can feel secure putting your money here, just don’t expect for the site to offer the best betting lines or have the cleanest mobile operation.
